WOOD PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL

Students throughout the primary schools are now receiving additional STEAM experiences during the school day.

A new Lunch & Learn program has been launched at all four primaries.

Inside Wood Park’s library during lunchtime on Tuesday, students formed teams and then engineered a course as part of a “Marble Run” activity.

The second graders first made blueprints of their designs.

Then, they used craft sticks, tape, a cup and a cardboard box to build their course — with the aim being to direct marbles through the course and into the cup.

After initial trials, teams adapted their designs to improve each track’s performance.
